The News Making Headlines...

Like so many of us, Jessica Simpson is getting ready for summer! The Gyms are a little fuller and the roads a little busier with all the boys and girls getting their summer bodies in check. You find yourself getting more gym invitations as people are looking for gym partners.

Some even go so far as to purchase 'supplemants' to enhance their performance when training. No-one has been working harder than our very own Bob Pecan. After his poor showing in last years Heavy Weight Championship of The World he is keen to hit the beaches of Cape Town a few pounds lighter. This has been made difficult due to the fact that he seems to have a never ending supply of Biltong floating around the digs. He assures the readers tho that he will be fighting fit for the upcoming beach season.

Jambles is another playroom playa that has been frequenting the gym of late, setting a new personal record in frequenting the gym 3 times in one month. He was even rumoured to be stepping out in the blue and white hoops of UCT last Saturday. These rumours were confirmed, but unfortunately he pulled out at a very late stage due to a serious case of flu. Let us hope that he has recovered and that this debilitating disease does not affect his preparation for the upcoming summer season.

The biggest Name in Cape Town has also been seen to be gyming in a top secret location. He was unavailable for comment but an insider confirmed that he was heavily involved in a stringent gym routine and that he was working with the banned Performance enhancing drug Nandrolone. This would explain his propensity to angry spells of drunkenness. Or not.

Mark Muller has also been sighted in and around the greater Cape Town area. He is rumoured to be on the verge of signing for the Nadoes CC. When he was asked if he would be attending the practice on tuesday he replied, and I quote "I dont need to practice, im the most talented sportsman the world has ever seen! Ha ha is that arrogant? I wanna open the batting, open the bowling and captain the side. Frank Sinatra is fucken Bad!" His manager assured us that he would be there. He is on trial at the NCC for a month or so. It remains to be seen whether or not he still posesses the talent that thrilled the crowds in the early 2000's! He may have spent to much time in the 'Ville and may be irrecoverably damaged. We shall see.

NCC Practices are now on and contracts are available, so if you think you have what it takes, come down to WPCC and give it a go! Tues & Thurs at 6pm!
